Rebio owns the two complementary companies: Miljøservice and Biomass. Both play a vital role in the circular utilization of biological waste and by-products.
Miljøservice focuses primarily on the circular use of waste for fertilization purposes, while Biomass concentrates on the circular use of biological waste for energy production. Both are highly specialized, with top-tier expertise tailored to fulfilling this important role in recycling and energy generation—contributing to the crucial agenda of reducing dependence on imported natural gas.

Through our subsidiaries, Biomass and Miljøservice, we ensure full recycling of these resources, contributing to significant CO₂ savings and the production of renewable energy. Our activities have resulted in an annual CO₂ displacement of over 35,000 tons, reflecting our commitment to reducing climate impact through concrete actions.
Our goal is to ensure that no biological waste goes to waste. By recycling waste into energy and fertilizer, we replace fossil fuels and synthetic fertilizers, while also contributing to carbon storage in the soil. This supports more sustainable resource use and efficient food production.

Waste is a resource that should be recycled, and at Miljøservice, we specialize in facilitating the reuse of residual products from society and industry. We have a large network of partners and up-to-date knowledge of legislation. We are known for entering turnkey agreements—from the collection of the residual product to its final disposal—naturally with full traceability and documentation.
Miljøservice began in 1989 by recycling organic residual products from municipal wastewater treatment plants as fertilizer for agriculture. Since then, Miljøservice has pursued a mission—successfully and optimally in collaboration with our customers—to recycle nutrients from waste products for the benefit of the environment and in line with the government’s waste hierarchy. A mission that is more relevant today than ever. Miljøservice now operates across multiple sectors and can assist with the recycling and storage of most organic residual products.
